• Row 4 •
Row 4 of the Dog Crate, New York City's largest shelter, overflowing with canines. In this row, unlike Row 11, there are only around three cages stacked on top of each other, and the length of the room is about fifteen yards. But, the width between crates across the isle is about four yards, a fairly large space. In here, the walls are a shade of bright yellow, it would be almost blinding if it wasn't so faded. Just like Row 11, the floor is a hard concrete, scratches etched into the extremely hard surface, showing the struggle of an unfotunate many. The canines in this row are self-absorbed, all they care about either their own freedom or they donn't care at all. Meaning that some wish to die, some could not blame them, for the horrible living conditions they managed to survive in. Like Row 11, this row is also very crowded, occasionally two dogs in one of the 'larger' or two feet by three feet kennels. What will you do behind the sturdy bars of your rusting jail?
