Risking Every Life;; 2019. Animal shelters are overflowing, no kill shelters killing pets in a matter of days. Streets are crowed with canines, too many to possibley even begin to start catching. Felines have been out of the American life for three years, either been caught by canines or died in unstable living conditions.
Humans still exist, trying their hardest to control the out of control dog population. Dog breeding is now forbidden, and the killing of any dog is recommended.
Being out on the street alone in a crowd of humans is not the best idea, many now carry a knife or machete, hidden away in a deep coat pocket. If you are caught, your fate is certain, the water cage.
You will know your final hours are ending when the humans drag you from your inadaquite crate and forced into a giant cage with thick metal bars, dozens of other dogs below and on top of you. The entire cage smells of death, and the overwhemling scent of fear.
This crate you are held in, is swung in the air by a large red crane, and the deep blue ocean water rushes toward you if you are lucky enough to be on the side of the cage. The entire crate is dunked into the sea. Your lungs fill with sea water, the salty taste choking you.
Black dots appear before your eyes, your final seconds filled with pain and agony. Your eyes sting, and slowly close, slipping into unconciousness. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to slip away before you emerge from the water, barely alive before getting dunked again.
In your final second, you feel the weight of the dog bodies above you, feeling broken.
Many dogs meet this fate, but your's may not have to be this way. The dogs inside the kennels are scheming, occasionally coming in contact with the strays and also plotting with them.
Can these dogs save you? Or will you be one to help save others. You cay be risking not only your own life, but every canine life may be in dange because of you, or it could be saved.
